Parents and caregivers are important partners in supporting student safety and wellbeing at ISB. Through open communication, collaboration, and shared responsibility, families help strengthen a culture of safety, respect, and care across the school community. Parents are expected to support and follow the ISB Parent Code of Conduct, partner with the school when concerns arise, and help students understand safe, respectful, and responsible behavior both in and outside of school.
Key responsibilities include:
Partnering with the school to support student wellbeing and safety
Communicating concerns related to student safety or wellbeing
Supporting school safeguarding practices and expectations
Reinforcing healthy relationships, boundaries, and responsible behavior
Participating in safeguarding education opportunities when available
Students play an important role in helping create a safe, respectful, and inclusive school environment. ISB encourages students to look after their own wellbeing, support one another, and speak with a trusted adult when they have concerns for themselves or others. Students are encouraged to actively participate in safeguarding education and contribute to a school culture where all members of the community feel safe, valued, and respected.
