Personal Care and Toileting Support
In the early years and primary grades, some students may occasionally need assistance with personal care needs such as toileting, changing clothes, or hygiene after an accident. Our goal is to support students in a way that respects their dignity, promotes independence, and maintains a safe environment. As part of our safeguarding procedures, staff follow established guidelines when providing personal care support. Families will be contacted if assistance is needed or if accidents occur regularly. For students who require ongoing support, an individual care plan may be developed in partnership with families and the school nurse. To view the complete policy, please contact the elementary office.
